Talking about San Miguel is talking about natural quality products, treasuring agriculture's  centuries-old traditions.

 

It all began in 1967 in the magnificent town of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, with a very great  Madrazo's Family vision to harvest and produce  the best quality food. We have always sought to do what few can do, to take care of nature, our land, our countryside and our people. Give and work more than any other, sow, harvest, produce and re-sow in a sustainable way and always with great respect for Nature's cycles to get the best Flavors, Nutrients and Purity that the Golden circle gives us: The Earth, The Water and The Sun.

 

Today, for more than forty years, San Miguel foods is a company totally adapted to todays needs, with an international projection and a wide range of natural plant based products. Although today the company has the most modern production technologies, San Miguel products continue to be made with original recipes and traditional Mexican food and flavors. Since the beginning we were very clear about it and we set ourselves the goal of improving people's quality of life by making it healthier and of greater well-being.

TIME LINE

1971

The history of “Conservas San Miguel” begins in 1971 with Don Antonio's idea “to work the land and he began to plant peaches and apples”, which were sold with the help of his son Patricio and his son's wife, Doña Rosa  in San Miguel's fresh market as another alternative.

1980

They planted asparagus to been export to Europe, installed a new production lines to process it, the company marketed them through importers and distributors making it their main export product.

In that same year, the Group ventured into the export US and European of private labels.

1990

Conservas San Miguel launches “San Miguel” brand to the national market, which soon became Mexico's most prestigious brand on specialized fruits and vegetables.

During this period, San Miguel foods consolidated itself as the leading Artichokes and Red Peppers producer in Latin America, also managing to expand its distribution both in Mexico and in other countries; counting on two production plants, transforming more than 10,000 tons of fruits and vegetables per year.

TODAY

The company has evolved from being Agroindustrial Producers to becoming Grupo San Miguel, holding three divisions: San Miguel Fresh Division, Conservas San Miguel and San Miguel Foods, this last one today stores, distributes and markets both group's brands and a wide portfolio of exclusive brands in the Food Service, Retail, Club Stores, Convenience markets, among others.
